CHALLENGE:
In June 2018 the Internet Retailer Conference + Exhibition (IRCE) took place at McCormick Place South, Chicago. IRCE is the premiere conference for e-Commerce networking and information/learning with over 600 top-solution and technology vendors exhibiting. FedEx was one of the many retailers taking part at the tradeshow and they wanted to stand out. They asked us to create an experience that would compel attendees to interact with their content and services in a new and memorable way, and also in a way that reinforced the company’s key experiential promises.

TRANSFORMATION: 
Design considerations were paramount to capture the attention of attendees passing by and highlight FedEx’s new online service. We designed an interactive digital kiosk featuring a 47” multi-touch table to accommodate groups of users. We created a sleek eye-catching wrap for around the table screen and implemented a cutting-edge animated user experience for navigating FedEx’s digital content in a fast, efficient, engaging, and hands-on way that represented the way that they conduct their business.

RESULT:
FedEx’s booth stood out among the 600 exhibitors for their modern design and interactive user experience. They were able to rally crowds of users during the tradeshow to generate a buzz on the floor and they were able to communicate immediate information about their range of services and reinforce their key message of “we deliver streamlined, easy-to-use, on-time service to our users” via their onsite conference experience. FedEx showed that the company is easy to work with and that the user experience is bar none.
